H&M has appointed Karl-Johan Persson as its new chief executive, replacing Rolf Eriksen who is due to retire this year. Karl-Johan Persson, who has been on the board of H&M’s UK, US, German and Denmark subsidiaries since 2000, will take up his position as chief executive on July 1. Persson is also already on the main H&M board, which he was appointed to in 2006.
