I am a designer of fashion jewelry, characterized by varied materials and colors. In my work as a jewelry designer, I begin with the materials. This can be a nice fabric I come across which awakens my inspiration; a special lace which excites me; wool with which one can create; metals and semi-precious stones. I spend time with the materials, mixing among them to create something special. The final jewel can send me in many different directions, based upon my mood that day, an interaction which influenced me, people I met, music I heard, sites on the street, and many other things. My current collection is made up of 4 main categories: 1) Jewelry on the 'wild' side – artistic and creative, these combine surprising materials and colors, such as a lace necklace, combined with metals and semi-precious stones. 2) A clean line of monochromatic colors, such as a mix between black velvet and silver. 3) A vintage line made up of metal chains and semi-precious stones in unusual colors, in combinations which create a unique visual harmony and warmth, and which are light to wear. 4) A scruffed romantic line, which among others includes hand-made fabric flowers, combined with heavy chains. I live and create in the city Tel-Aviv. I graduated from the Ceramic Department in the prestige Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem, followed by Art study in the Escolla Massana in Barcelona. The Tamara brand was created two-years ago, and is sold in stores throughout Israel, Europe and the United States.
